4 October 2021 A drive through Wettolshein, Turcksheim and Niedermorschwir

We took the back roads to get back to Colmar and drove through three or four small towns.  They are so close together and small it was hard to keep track.  Luckily the Europeans have a system whereby they put up a sign as you leave town.  The sign has the name of the town with a red stripe through the name of the town.  That way you know you are leaving town.  We had seen diagrams of the vineyards in this region and it looked like a crazy patchwork of owners and grapes.  Seeing it up close we find that it is a crazy patchwork of owners and grapes.  We passed some sort of a grotto, multiple cool flower displays, and one of the finest public restrooms we have ever come across.  A great way to spend the afternoon.

A mysterious grotto

Score three for the yellow houses

Each tiny town has its own tiny church or two

The turtle looks a bit flat

Have you ever seen so quaint a WC?

Love this door

Things are very tight in this town

The clouds were hanging in the mountains all day

Hair pin turns!

Coming down from the mountain vineyards to see another tiny town

Yes we have left Neidermorschwihr

The tinyest church yet

Vines as far as the eye can see

No self serve gas here

The clouds were everchanging and quite beautiful
