14 October 2021 Vienna and the Sisi Museum on Schonbunn Palace

The double headed eagle is the symbol of the former Imperial house.
The palace complex is huge and it encompasses a myriad of museums, too many to visit in a month.  Since we don't have a month we were selective and on this day we visited the Sisi Museum.  The start with the dishes and cutlery, the overhead of being a royal.  We were amazed buy the volume and the quality of the items on display.  Then we were off to the more interesting part which was the apartments of Sisi and Franz Joseph.  Unfortunately there was no photography allowed in this section.

Emperess Sisi herself.  She was considered one of the great beauties of her day.

Piles of silver going on forever

Just your run of the mill gold centerpiece

Fork an A!

An odd freak of nature to pick as your mascot

So this is where it all started, folded towel animals

At least they are not solid gold

Still gold plated bronze is still very fancy
