16 October 2021 Graz Austria

After a quick 2 hour drove from Vienna we arrive in Graz, Austria's second largest city.  We are staying at the Schlossberghotel.  we got the executive suite and it is something special!  Graz had embraced the new architecture alongside the old architecture philosophy and the place we are staying at is definitely on the new architecture side of that coin.  It has floor to ceiling windows.  It looks out over the Mur river and the cool structure that is in the center of the river.  This floating café bridge was intended to be temporary but it is so cool that they have kept it in place.

We have the apartment that has the balcony facing front

Bedroom #1

Looking out towards the river Mur

Of course church steeples

The floating café bridge.

This is our balcony.  It is 44 steps from one end to the other

This is the art museum building

I can check the temperature by looking out my window

The sign on the top

Kitchen with stovetop, and dishwasher

Complimentary Champagne  for our "anniversary"

We will drink the bubbly later

Glass everywhere

Across the river was a wide variety of buildings

Including this cool clock

Across the street is where the funicular goes...

...to the top of the hill.  You can see a person taking the stairs on the lower left

Fall is strating to show itself

Crazy perspective on this building

Reflected in the glass of my room

Great paint job on the tram

This entire structure is floating and is 185 feet long

It must be getting warmer
