I woke up early having slept like a rock. I went upstairs and saw the sun rising. Then I went back to sleep! Once we really got up we had breakfast and then figured out the tram system. It was easy enough and soon we were at the Vienna Pass Storefront getting our passes. Then it was a leisurely walk to the Cafe Landtmann. Their claim to fame is that Siegfried Freud chose this cafe as his favorite. We imagined ourselves there in the 1880's. Leslie has been invited to the university discuss her groundbreaking research and I was there to sing at the Opera. We fall madly in love again and then have a tasty lunch.
Come to us fancy tram
We are in the tram and headed out!
If they do anything Vienna they do it "over the top"
Grand Style in Vienna
No Robot Dogs! I cant blame them those stinky piles of batteries that they leave behind...
The stature in front of the Parliament
This sign in front of the Parliament shows the cover of one of Bob Dylan's albums. It's weird to see him described as a Nobel Prize for Literature winner
Outside the Theater
The city hall is getting a big mega make over
A rainbow walkway!
The details on the Theatre building go on and on
It is hard to miss, but we did. Luckily the google blue dots led us right back
This place was very big. There was outdoor seating, seating in the front and and another entire wing on the other side.
Score on the tasty food! I had a half chicken that was deboned and then fried. Leslie got a tasty ham, cheese and a pasta cooked like a pot pie!
Ja, ist sehr gut!
