5 October 2021 Epernay for dinner at the La Grillade Gouremande


Vegans beware!  Above is the T-bone steak for two cooked medium rare that we ordered from La Grillade Gormande.  Laura and I shared this super cut of beef that was "cooked" over an open wood fire.  It was super good but not as good as Leslie's grilled pluma Iberian pork selection. We have not had a mediocre meal yet everything has been great. The wine list was offered to me and this phonebook sized binder had so many wines that I was overwhelmed.  Luckily each person in the restaurant seemed to be a wine expert.

I settled for a half liter of a fine Bordeaux


I ordered a 12 escargot appetizer and they brought out singles for both Leslie and Laura.  The cute snail shape containers are darling


The grilled Iberian pork was very tasty
