A long night flight to Qatar

This was always going to be a difficult leg. However Qatar Airways made it as pleasant as a 9.5 hour night flight can be. We had fully reclining seats and the food service was ala cart. That meant we could order from a menu of items at any time. This makes sense as schedules for different passengers are different depending on each persons level of adjustment to the local time.  Landing in Doha was very pretty, the poles of the street lights are illuminated at night. So from the plane Leslie could see the road with tall poles of bright blue, green, yellow and red light. It was of course after midnight local time but 5AM Bali time. We were amazed that such a big and modern airport had stairways and busses instead of jetways. After a 15 minute bus ride that circled the airport at least 4 times we finally got to customs and immigration. Immigration was very easy once we got there, Leslie had to answer all the questions.  Not only did I not get asked any questions, the agent actually had a conversation in Arabic with the agent in the station next to him. I told him that I only spoke English before I realized he was not even speaking to me. Our driver zipped us to the hotel in a flash and we were in our fabulous room by 1AM.
