Melbourne Museum and the surrounding park

We had a brisk walk down to the Melbourne Museum. We passed the Royal Exhibition Hall from the old days. It was built in 1880 and only took 18 months to build.  It is a world heritage site and is being renovated. The scaffolding itself is an amazing piece of Engineering. It us the longest continuously used exhibition hall and the only remaining great exhibition hall. The Melbourne Museum was wide-ranging and had everything from Aboriginal art and stories to dinosaur bones. We particularly liked the section on giant bugs and the collection of taxidermy. We could have spent a couple of days they're seeing everything but we had the highlights and then went back and walked around the downtown area a bit more.
