Goodbye Isle Of Man

We called the same taxi driver that drove us to the hotel and arranged for a ride back to the airport.  As we were leaving we took a different route and I was able to get a good picture of the tower of refuge. It is a tower out in the bay built on some rocks that were very dangerous. Many a ship had foundered on those rocks in storms. They built the Tower and put provisions in it to try and save whoever washed up there.  The conversation with our cabbie  was even more interesting. His theory was that at Northern Ireland would become part of Ireland again. Scotland with split off and go to Europe. England would become another state of the United States! I found this quite outlandish. Leslie on the other hand had actually heard of this theory before. He also told us that the Isle of Man is run by the Privy Council. The Privy Council is  is a council that reports only to the Queen.  As such they have very little political power. It was quite the Blustery Day and our plane was the smallest yet.  Only 11 total passengers made this trip.

The Tower of Refuge

At least we have partial coverage on our walk to the plane

She is not a big plane and no roll up stairs. The plane has its own stairs that fold out.

Quite cosy, I  could not stand up in the cabin

It has propellers and a jet in the tail

I moved over to the other seat

They only assign very thin people to this style of plane

It's a rainy day. We brought the sunshine to the Isle of Man and we are taking it with us

Off we go!

Low clouds and rain

Good bye IOM

I get an add on tray tabel
