High tea or low tea in Melbourne?

I believe that high tea is later in the day, but our schedule dictated this time.  So perhaps we had low tea? The Windsor has been serving traditional teas since they opened. That makes it the longest continuously operating tea service in all of Australia. We had 12:00 reservations but we were ready a little bit earlier. There was only one other table having tea at that time.  These two lovely women were soon joined by many more people.  I was the only man for an extended period of time. As more men showed up they were seated next to our table. We were all in a row in the same part of the room. I'm not sure if we were being segregated or not, but the tea was so good that it didn't matter.

They have not added our names here yet

It was empty when we arrived but full when we left

This was a picture of a Jubilee celebration.  Perhaps Queen Victoria's Jubilee

Very posh

We started with sparkling and savory bites

Yeah!

The flourish on top of the tower

Savory items on top,  a roasted artichoke tart and a parmesan crusted guiere cheese thing. Sweets on the next level,  a pistachio macaroon,  a vanilla and yuzu religieuse and a chocolate and hazelnut mousse.

On the last dish is more savory items free range egg salad sandwich with aioli,  cucumber peperonata and smoked chicken Waldorf sandwiches

Brewed tea and hot water supplied in silver pots

The sweets nummmmmm

The bites became smaller and smaller

Until we could eat no more and then..

Just how much tasty goodness can two people handle?
