As if a special anniversary breakfast was not enough we were treated to a special anniversary dinner at Cyann. We ate there the night before so we were happy to return. It is a fine establishment with incredible food and 1400 wine labels in the cellars. Of course Mac was there to assist me in my wine selection, Nicolas greeted us and showed us to our decorated table. Our server was Zulu from Zululand inside South Africa. He seemed to be so young but he assured us that he was 33! We each were given a tiny fish treat at the beginning. I ordered an octopus and chorizo appetizer. Since Leslie didn't order one, they brought her a bowl of gazpacho fo keep her company. My entree was a wagu beef filet with mushrooms and a fine dark jus. Leslie chose the tiger prawn dish which was also delish. We had seen a couple getting married earlier in the day. Unfortunately it was raining and so the had the ceremony in the same place where we had our breakfast. Then we saw them st the restaurant ! We thought dinner was over and suddenly Zulu comes out with a chocolate ganache and citrus cake! Oh my my my, how absolutely delicious.
Its Mac, that's Macaulay our favorite sommelier!
