The Wallace Collection

This collection is accumulated from five generstions of the Marquis of Hartford. Or should I say four because Richard was the illigitimate son of the fourth Marquis and this was no Marquis at all. Although it was good to see that he inherited everything. The collection is displayed at the Hertford house was is now part of the national trust. It was donated by Lady Wallace in 1897. It is bursting with fine art: works by Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. Also there is a large collection of fine crafts there's clocks,  tables, miniatures,  ceramics and incgredibly huge mirrors. Quite differently there is a Milano Blahnik collection housed within all of the other stuff. Very crazy boots and shoes are encased in little display cases throughout. A delightful way to spend an afternoon.
