A tour of the on site garden

As we were leaving breakfast we got to talking to the friendly staff at the auxiliary front desk / consierge desk.  There is a front desk at the top of the hill and this additional facility downhill where the pool, spa and restaurants are all located. Here we met with Era, our "guest experience maker" or GEM for short. We met another GEM, Jenny, the night before.  During our conversation with Era she suggested we tour the on site organic vegetable and spice garden.  When we got here we discovered that there was also a mushroom hut and a chicken condo.  Dani the gardener was like a proud father as he showed us all of the growing things he is tending. Leslie was like a kid in a candy shop with all the growing things.

An ingenious way of making business cards for guests that would need to recognize the GEM's

And here they are in real life

A very cool sculpture of monkeys in a canoe, and the golf cart that took us up to the garden

A sample of the Landscaping we drove through on our way up

An ingenious way of training these bushes to act as a fence row

Oyster mushrooms growing and ready for the dinner table

Rows of tasty and delicious vegetables

Some herbs

I'm getting hungry just looking at these pictures

This was the flowering part of a bean plant we ended up eating a couple of them later that evening

The entrance to the chicken condo

They're small now but they will grow bigger

More mushrooms in the hut
