Auckland Art Museum

Once again the building housing the Art Museum is a piece of art itself. This art museum used to be two different buildings that they connected in a very ingenious ways.  There are slight ramps, seemingly blind hallways that lead you to the other building and weirdly angled walls. The displays that they are wide-ranging. There was one that featured the Pacific Sisters fashion activists.  There was one featuring the Gorillia Girls titled " the new F word is  feminism. There was also one on Disco. There happened to be a high school group visiting and they were all congregated in the disco display area which was a mock dance floor. But like any high school dance one person was dancing every else was watching.  There was also exhibits on Maori art and where it has progressed to currently.

This may seem like it's at the art museum. But it's actually on the side of a water delivery van.  It's about glasses of water of course.

The Pacific Sisters used any readily available materials including video tape to make fashion. Thier fashion shows embraced gender fluidity

A great logo for the museum

Do sculptures were gigantic. They probably were 30 Feet Tall but hung upside down from upside down boats
