Up and out to our private boat tour

The "Get my Boat" app worked its wonders again. The Bali Rizio was the boat that Rocky Supatra had for hire. At 10 AM we were picked up by our driver.  We navigated through the narrow congested roads of  Bali. It was 26 kilometers to the docks but it took us all of an hour to get there.  The drivers in Bali are quite courteous, they have to be or else no one would survive.  Let me give you an example: half of all traffic is small scooters and motorcycles. Mostly they drive on the far left shoulder with the cars driving in the left lane. When a scooter needs to turn, they manoeuvr to the center of the road and wait for an opening.  Or they just drive the wrong way into oncoming traffic to "make" an opening. Hence the need for courtesy. Another example...at a "T" intersection cars and scooters diverge and scatter in all directions, each going it's own way. We never saw an accident. We saw alot of businesses and temples and homes on our drive. We drove over water on a raised road that had an overpass over it.  So an overwater overpass.

Just a sample of some of the very nice houses alongside of the road

A market for selling small birds in cages

We were stopped in traffic and got to see the workers working diligently on this building. They were sawing off parts of the stone in place

This Causeway was a couple of kilometers long. One can only imagine how long the trip would have taken without it

An overpass in the middle of the tidal zone

A very elaborate gate

Bringing home the hay for the animals

Rows and rows and rows of fishing boats

Here's a great investment property abandoned and empty

I don't know if the bamboo is just bracing up the building while it's being built or will be part of the building

We saw so many scooters with entire family's or large cargo that it reminded us of Vietnam

Example of the traffic patterns.

! Indeed!

Double outrigger

Many watercraft that we could have gotten, but we got the best

This is our ride for the day

Yes, it took that long
