Down Under

The flight to Australia was 4 hours long for this leg. It is funny how our perception of flight lengths has changed appreciably. Now a four hour flight seems short.  The majority of the flight was over water so there was not much to see. As we got over Australia we could see signs of a drought, as some of the lakes are noticeably lower. Driving through Melbourne was a treat. There are very many buildings that are quite distinctive.

Leaving the coast of New Zealand behind

It seems like just a couple of minutes and we were already over the ocean

4 hours later we are over the southern coast of Australia

This Lake used to have a lot more water

The city of Melbourne is visible in the distance

A very cool facade

Since every building could be a piece of art it's nice to see when people go out of their way to make it look that way

The walkway seems to end in midair

Curvy and colourful

This building is wearing a hat

Another great facade

This was a children's hospital exterior
