Breakfast in the room and a chilly stroll

We had breakfast in our room with all the goodies that we bought at the market the day before. Crusty bread, Gost cheese, salami, a big pile of veggies and some yoghurt.  Then we showered and got everything packed so that we'd be ready to go later. We took a walk to a park and then down into Chinatown. We were surprised at how many people we saw wearing shorts.

This is the original elevator from 1883.

It no longer passes the current safety requirements. So we did not ride in it

This is the Windsor

A Victoria tribute statue

We had to discontinue walking in this park because all of the debris was piled up in the walkway. A very odd way to keep a park clean

Discussing things of importance

The cockatiels are no way a quiet bird

We were startled by the loud squawking that the four of these birds made

We noticed several of these types of markers permanently attached to the sidewalks you would miss them if you were not looking down

Perhaps a famous cafe where this writer used to do his writing

There was a series of gates denoting the start of Chinatown

We both have hats on because it was 48 degrees. That's cold for these two south Florida folks

Big red lanterns that go down for blocks and blocks

Is it art or is it a giant still for making Hooch?

I did not ask this guy permission to take his picture, not that he noticed. He was reading the book as a cross the street and as he walked up the sidewalk. It must be a very good book
