A vintage car trip to Uluwatu Temple

The VW Thing is certainly a vintage car in that it is old. It is as funky as they come with removable doors and a fabric convertible top.  It is customary that visitors to the temple wear sarongs.  So we were each fitted with a sarong before boarding the car and driving the car to the temple. We passed the long wall of stone monkeys that is the entry way. It was a more rural drive and we saw statues and kites along the way.

Manufactured mostly in the 70's is was based on an old german jeep design

Careful not to get too close

Almost like frisking

My hat to go with the sarong

Looking sharp

We are ready
