SEXY FISH

After Claridges we were filled to the brim. Walking to a book shop seemed like a great plan. We looked at the maps and picked a book shop in Piccadilly area. It turns out it is the biggest bookshop in London. We know how to pick em. Of course we found books to buy. Too many great books so we had to limit ourselves. Then as we were walking back we passed the RA. That is the Royal Academy for those of you not from London. They were having an event called "pleasure palaces" where they attempted to recreate the pleasure palaces of the 1700s. Although we did not get in, the looks of the people in line makes us want to return next year. Next we happened upon Fortnum and Mason a speciality tea store.  Of course tea was purchased!  As we wandered on we came upon the restaurant "Sexy Fish". This is a restaurant that is on the style of a Japanese yakitori grill restaurant. Outside was a trio of natty gentlemen. Natty is a term that describes a person whose look is both trendy and impeccable. We complimented them on how well they were put together and then asked if there was a table to be had.  James  the guest relations manager, took us over to the counter right next to the grilling area and sat us down. Other people may have complained that the heat of the grill was too much or that the servers coming up next to them was intrusive. We thought it was the best seat in the house!  We could watch the intricate interactions of the cooks. With all the dishes that they have passing by us we could easily decide what to get. George was the chef in charge and he stood five feet in front of us the whole time. We talked his ear off asking about recipies,  dishes,  travel and all things Sexy Fish. It was the best meal of the trip. Even better they are opening in Miami soon!  We hope to go to the opening.

We saw the ad for this coat that you can see in the background while we were walking through the airport in Doha. The look on the model is so blase that we could not believe it was actually used to promote this brand. However seeing the coat by itself made us feel better about it

Another complimentary dish of grilled scallops with pickled apples on the top very very very tasty and a bold taste combination that we have never had before. Thanks to George!
