This destination adds a new continent to the trip, Africa! That makes North America, South America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. The flight was mere 5.5 hrs. That length of flight used to be a big issue, but not so much anymore. I slept more than Leslie did, once again. The beds were flat but narrow. I was like a pancake flipping over and over through the evening. But I will gladly take fitful sleep over no sleep at all. As the plane approached the island of Mahe it was apparent how small the island is. From altitude the landing strip looked tiny. The approach was over water and just barely. We landed at 8:30 AM and the entire plane had to get immigration forms, fill them out and then stand in line. Inefficient but not a problem for the priority travelers like us. We were through the line before it got too crowded. From there it was an easy if slightly queasy ride to the Constance Ephelia. The scenery was so compelling but the mountain road so sinuous that I got a touch of motion sickness. Our driver Nicole was a native and he told us alot about the island. He was very cool and told us many stories about his adventures.
Many islands as we fly over
And then a big mountain
Soon to drive across these
Keep your eyes on the horizon
From the land the pictures are appreciably better
The town by the airport
Starting to climb up hill
Nice drive
Reaching the top
Looking back to the east
